Banyan Tree Bonsai

 Banyan Tree Bonsai

The Banyan tree bonsai is an otherworldly sort of tree in the manner that it develops and creates. It looks both consoling and forbidding simultaneously.

How to Grow a Banyan Tree Bonsai

The Ficus benghalensis, commonly called the banyan fig, is an attractive banyan tree most often grown as a bonsai, a kind of dwarf tree normally kept as a houseplant. The banyan fig develops roots from the branches to the soil, and these fascinating air roots are one of the highlights that make this plant a fun and unusual example.

It is also tolerant of the dry air and low light conditions often found indoors, however it will grow better when given a lot of light and consistently moist air.

Set a layer of rock in the base of the pot to advance drainage, and spread the rock with a fine layer of gardening soil. Set the banyan fig cautiously in the pot and fill in around it with soil. Water the soil and pack it down to settle it and expel any air pockets, and top off the plant with soil so the roots are very well covered.
